The man who died after being shot upwards of seven times on a quiet Coquitlam cul-de-sac was associated with gangs.
Joey Lamont Arrance crashed his luxury SUV into a bus stop late Tuesday night after police say he was the victim of a targeted shooting.
He was rushed to hospital but died a short time later from his injuries.
A suspect ran away from the scene on foot, and police have not taken anyone into custody.
Arrance, 34, has a criminal record, and investigators say he is known to police and was known to be associated with gangs.
