A suspected home invasion turned deadly in Burnaby overnight, sparking homicide investigators to probe the incident.
Burnaby Mounties were called to an apartment building in the 3900-block of Carrigan Court around 10:30 Monday night after receiving a report of a shooting.
When officers arrived they found a man’s body outside the building.
First responders at the scene said the man may have fallen from several floors above.
His exact cause of death has not been confirmed, though. It is not known whether the victim was known to police.
The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team has taken over the case.
