The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team has been called to the scene of a suspicious death in Abbotsford.
A driver spotted a badly injured man on Lonzo Road near Sumas Way around 11 p.m. Sunday.
Emergency crews responded and worked on the man, but he later died at the scene.
"We don't believe that he would likely have caused this injury to himself or as a result of a fall," said Const. Ian MacDonald with Abbotsford Police. "At this moment in time we believe that those injuries are suspicious and we are actively investigating."
It's believed the victim was in his 30's, but a name has not been released.
Police are asking anyone with information to come forward.
