Andrew Koenig, the actor best known for his recurring part as "Boner" on the popular 1980s sitcom "Growing Pains," has been reported missing in Vancouver.

The 41-year-old was visiting friends in British Columbia for the 2010 Olympic Winter Games, but missed his flight back to Los Angeles Feb. 16.

His friends notified police two days later.

The Venice, California resident played the character Richard "Boner" Stabone from 1985 to 1989. He is the son of actor Walter Koenig, known as Chekov on the Star Trek series.

Family and friends are concerned about the younger Koenig's well-being, saying he has recently been despondent.

Police say Koenig, who once lived in Vancouver, enjoyed walking in Stanley Park, but that he could be anywhere in the area.

He had recently been working as a camera operator on the comedy podcast "Never Not Funny."

On his website, Walter Koenig said his son was "suffering from depression" in the days leading up to his disappearance.

The last time he contacted his parents was on Feb. 9.

The last time he was seen was at a bakery near Stanley Park on Valentines Day.

Koenig's parents believe the Vancouver Police are doing a good job. They say they will fly to Vancouver within a few days to aid the investigation.
