It may not be the prettiest car in the neighbourhood, but with a convincing story the 1991 Dodge Shadow can be yours for free.
The car's owner purchased the 25-year-old convertible just a few months ago but says it's no longer needed.
An ad posted to the online marketplace Kijiji says the car will be given away on noon Friday "to the most worthy persona" who writes to say why they want it.
"It turns out owning three cars in Vancouver with limited parking space isn't the best thing ever so this car's being kicked to the curb," the ad reads.
"I figured instead of selling this ride for market value (likely millions) why not make somebody's summer and give them this sick hot woke hooptie for FREE."
The online giveaway also includes a full tank of gas, two full-face visors "to protect you from the blaring sun," a detachable CD stereo -- with disco CD -- and a very large dent in the passenger side door.
The car's owner says it's unclear if the roof actually goes up but the new owner shouldn't be concerned: "This is a convertible for Pete's sake, harden up and drive with the top down all year long 'til the break of dawn."
Submissions are being accepted until 11:59 a.m. Friday morning.
