Police in B.C. say that a missing person investigation led them to a drug ring, $1 million in stolen property, a cache of guns and links with Eastern European organized crime.

Vancouver officers have been searching for Ron Carlow for four years, since he disappeared in June 2007 at the age of 38.

They haven't found the missing man, but the province's anti-gang task force says the investigation led them to a drug ring responsible for meth and esctasty production as well as the creation of meth labs. Police seized equipment capable of running eight more labs from a drug lab in Surrey during a bust in June 2010.

At the same time, they also discovered what officers called veritable fortress in Pritchard, north of Kamloops, B.C., which police suspect was being set up as a drug lab.

RCMP seized 32 guns and a number of other weapons from the home, including ones hidden in unlikely spots – like in a toddler's room, where guns lined the walls and ammunition was hidden under the crib.

"There were loaded firearms in the kitchen cabinets underneath the sinks. We had firearms hanging on the tie rack," RCMP Const. Frank Grosspietsch told CTV News.

"There wasn't a room where there wasn't a loaded gun."

Surrounded by an electric fence, with cameras in the trees, the property even housed an underground bunker, Supt. Pat Fogarty told CTV News.

"It was set up almost like a military compound in terms of protecting themselves," he said.

A 39-year-old Ivan Georgiev of Langley and 34-year-old Ante Dragusica of Surrey face multiple drugs and weapons charges. Tereza Kiriakova, 27, also faces a 10-year firearms ban.

The two-year-old girl living at the Pritchard property was turned over to social services when Georgiev was arrested.

Investigators believe Carlow was murdered, given his connections with criminal elements.

"Given his relationship with the people that have been charged and what we've uncovered, I think he probably has met with foul play," said Vancouver Police Department Sgt. Joanne Boyle.
