A Kamloops cowboy is expected to be back in court on Monday to set a sentencing date for cattle rustling and theft.

Thirty-seven-year-old Jason McDowell has pleaded guilty in provincial court to charges of cattle theft and three counts of theft under $5,000.

Judge Roy Dickey heard McDowell took furniture from the company home near Cache Creek, as well as a new kitchen sink, tools and a piece of machinery.

He also heard that McDowell sold cattle he didn't own from an Alberta ranch for $20,000.
