Vancouver police are looking for two suspects after a car chase left one officer injured Thursday night.

A man and a woman allegedly escaped the scene of a break and enter at a business in the 3400 block of Lougheed Highway at around 9:45 p.m., according to police.

The pair drove away in a stolen pickup truck when police arrived. Police tried to box in and pin the truck, but the suspect driver smashed it through the cars, injuring the officer. Police did not further pursue the suspects due to safety concerns.

The man is being described as around 50 years old, white, heavy and about 5-foot-10. He may have a cut on his head from the collision. At the time, he was wearing a toque and jeans. There is no description available of the woman.

The abandoned truck was later found in Burnaby at Eton and Willingdon Street.
