Vancouver Canucks goaltender Roberto Luongo was named NHL third star of the week Monday after posting three consecutive wins.

Luongo posted a 1.00 goals against average and a .961 save percentage over a three game stretch. Luongo allowed only one goal per game against Nashville, Edmonton and Calgary as the Canucks rose to seventh place in the Western Conference. Luongo currently has a record of 19 wins and 12 losses, 2.28 goals-against average, .920 save percentage and two shutouts in 32 games with the Canucks this season.

Montreal Canadiens goalie Jaroslav Halak was named the NHL's first star of the week. Halak led the Canadiens to three wins last week.

Chicago Blackhawks forward Patrick Kane was the league's second star. Kane scored five goals and tallied three assists in four games last week.
