SUNRISE, Fla. -- Eddie Lack has been traded from the Vancouver Canucks to the Carolina Hurricanes.

Vancouver gets a third round pick in Day 2 of the NHL Draft as well as a seventh round pick in 2016.

The 27-year-old Lack has a 34-30 record for the Canucks in 82 games over the past two seasons. He has a .917 save percentage in that time with a 2.45 goals-against average.

He becomes an unrestricted free agent at the end of this season.

Vancouver general manager Jim Benning indicated this week that either Lack or minor-league goaltender Jacob Markstrom would be traded before the 2015-16 season began.
