Campers across the Coastal Fire Centre can spark up a campfire again, starting today, as rain and cooler weather have ended the latest ban.
The only exception is on the southern third of Vancouver Island.
That's where dry conditions mean the fire danger rating is ranked as “high,” with several large pockets rated as “extreme.”
Campfires are permitted in all other fire centres although campers should check if local restrictions are in effect.
