Michael Buble may be lacing up his skates Wednesday night for the much-anticipated Bieksa’s Buddies charity hockey game, according to an unconfirmed roster posted to Twitter.

The lineup was tweeted Tuesday night by Wacey Hamilton, whose brother Wyatt is one of the UBC Thunderbirds players facing off against an all-star squad of current and former Canucks in the charity match.

And if the leaked roster it to be believed, the varsity squad will be battling a few celebrity surprises as well.

Buble’s name appears in the right-wing position next to Daniel and Henrik Sedin, and lower down there appears to be a reference to former Bevery Hills 90210 hearthrob Jason Priestley.

Priestly, a Vancouver native, is a self-professed hockey fan and Canucks supporter.

A few other noteworthy names appear in red, but should be taken with a grain of salt – they include Pavel Bure, Mark Messier and Friday Night Lights star Taylor Kitsch, as well as Harry Potter and deceased goaltender Gump Worsley.

Another leaked image features the keys of the game, which include:

  • “Stick Buble in the throat, let him know you’re there”
  • “Chirp Priestley about ‘90210’”
  • “Ask Sedins how often they shop at IKEA”

The charity game has been a source of some controversy, after it was discovered ticket scalpers were reselling tickets on Craigslist at up to 500 per cent the original price of $20 plus service fees.

All proceeds of the game benefit the Canuck Place Children’s Hospice, the Canucks Autism Network and the Canucks Family Education Centre.

The game starts at 7 p.m. at the Doug Mitchell Thunderbird Winter Sports Centre at UBC.
