Too many bears spoils the… kitchen? A couple living on the Sunshine Coast was in for a surprise when they came across a bear making itself at home in their kitchen.

“So...a bear was IN our house today,” Lund, B.C. resident Gina Wood posted on her Facebook page on May 23. “This Lundie thinks it's time to start locking doors.”

According to Wood’s post, the bear opened pantry doors, sampled foods such as potatoes and quinoa, ate a whole bag of tortilla chips, and drank all of the dog’s water.

“[It] took a bite out of a tomato… apparently felt it needed some salt, attempted to use the salt grinder with his teeth… had some almonds and a bag of coconut sugar and washed it all down with the bowl of dog water,” Wood wrote.

For anyone who was skeptical of Wood’s story, photo evidence emerged on May 26 when the bear burglar struck again. She told CTV News that her husband came across the bruin making itself a snack for the second time in one week.

“For those of you who didn't believe my story the other day… we now have photographic evidence...‪#‎lundproblems.”

Posted photos show a bear up on the kitchen counter, detritus spread around the room.

“This time our doors were closed and the little bastard still got in,” Wood added, noting that the bear jumped up on the sink when it spotted her husband.

“My husband left our front door open and opened the kitchen door from the outside and the bear ran out the front door.”
