VANCOUVER - The college that represents dentists in British Columbia says it has taken legal action against two more men for practising the profession illegally.

Jerome Marburg of the College of Dental Surgeons of BC says Hua Zheng Huang has agreed to a permanent injunction that prevents him from practising dentistry or representing himself as a dentist.

Marburg says investigators seized dental material and equipment from Huang's Vancouver residence during an October search that was prompted by a public complaint.

Meanwhile, he says Vladimir Shapoval of Coquitlam, B.C., is expected to be in court in the new year.

Marburg says Shapoval had agreed to an order prohibiting him from practising dentistry, but investigators followed up and seized dental material and equipment from his home in October.

The issue received national attention last month when Metro Vancouver resident Tung Sheng Wu was sent to jail for three months for defying a court order that prohibited him from practising dentistry.
