Residents of a Coquitlam condominium could be out of their suites for at least several days -- and some of the 150 people could be homeless for much longer -- after a blaze swept through their building.

No one was hurt but 75 units in the three storey structure at 99 Begin Street have some damage and as many as 12 are gutted after fire broke out early yesterday afternoon.

A cause has not been determined but investigators would like to speak to members of a roofing crew who were working on the building before the alarm sounded.

At the height of the fire, crews from Burnaby and Port Coquitlam were called to assist Coquitlam firefighters.
