Celebrate our nation's 150th Anniversary of Confederatoin of Canada's biggest little birthday party, the Steveston Salmon Festival in Richmond's historic fishing village of Steveston on Saturday, July 1st. The day's highlights include a community parade at 10am featuring 100 floats, marching bands, and a variety of community groups showing their Canadian pride, the famous salmon bake where over 1200 pounds of wild sockeye salmon are grilled over open fire pits, the Japanese Cultural Show and martial arts demonstration, celebration zone for children and youth, a food truck festival, inflatable carnival and midway, and two stages filled with entertainment all afternoon.
