1. Community meeting in Surrey: A community forum will be held tonight in Surrey addressing a recent spike in gun violence, including the fatal shooting of the nephew of MLA Harry Bains. There have been 22 shootings in Delta and Surrey since early March

2. Tragic death: A six-year-old girl has tragically died after being struck, along with her mom and two others, by a car driven by a learning driver.

3. Not the first time: A victim of a stabbing spree that left the alleged assailant killed by police said this wasn’t the first time he had been attacked by the suspect. Kathiye Elmi says he was approach by Abdi Hirsi two days before the spree with Hirsi pulling a knife on him then.

4. High times: After a day of marijuana revelry around the Vancouver Art Gallery, health officials confirmed that 39 people had been admitted to hospital. Symptoms included nausea, dizziness and vomiting. No word if any of the patients had the munchies.
