1. Dreams dashed: A Vancouver couple says the recent windstorm ruined their dream wedding this past weekend. After their outdoor wedding was uprooted by troublesome wind, the wedding did go on - albeit in a small room with a makeshift ceremony. 

2. Rain blamed: The heavy rainfall drenching Vancouver this week has been blamed for a deadly accident Tuesday morning. Mounties said a 35-year-old Abbotsford man lost control of his truck on a wet road in Pitt Meadows and flipped the vehicle into the ditch.

3. Coercion claims: A woman has launched a lawsuit against the Delta Police Department alleging she was pressured into an inappropriate relationship with an officer. 

4. Speaking out: A Vancouver model is speaking out after a digitally altered photo of herself was posted on a body-shaming Facebook page. Ruby Roxx says she was made to look completely unnatural and says the page was both insensitive and damaging.

5. Airbnb fee: Tourism Vancouver is pushing to extend a tax increase on hotel rooms to the customers of the popular rental website Airbnb. The San Francisco-based company – which offers access to more than a million private homes whether or not local laws allow it – says it’s happy to help collect any taxes if a deal can be struck.
