Port Moody police are looking for a man who allegedly grabbed a young girl as she was walking home from school on Thursday afternoon.

The 12-year-old girl said it happened at about 3:40 p.m. as she was walking through Bert Flinn Park. The girl screamed and fought back and the suspect ran into the wooded area of the park.

Port Moody Police units, Lower Mainland police dog service and the RCMP aerial unit searched the area but did not find the suspect.

The suspect is described as a white male, about 5-6 tall, in his mid to late teens. He was wearing a dark blue jacket, dark blue jeans and black running shoes. His face was partially covered during the alleged attack.
